Claiming just 13 square meters at the corner of Plateia Varnava, Vin d’Alsace focuses exclusively on Alsatian wines and features a distinctively small footprint—reportedly one of the tiniest wine bars anywhere. The approach is sharply edited: inside, just a handful of visitors can perch, while others spill onto sidewalk tables encircling the compact space.

Owner Kostis Karatzias’s list offers only wines from small producers in Alsace, with varietals like Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, Sylvaner and Muscat. The menu is organized by grape rather than maker, encouraging simple, approachable ordering. All bottles are available by the glass and priced accessibly. Pairings are uncomplicated—think pickles, tinned foods, bread with butter, sardines, kimchi, and Gildas—keeping the experience intentionally unfussy and focused on the wines.
