Five Noteworthy New London Restaurants: October 2026
An independent, concise look at five recently discovered restaurants making their mark across London, from modern British-Mediterranean in Kew to a Filipino-influenced bakery-pizzeria in Kentish Town.

This week’s curated selection highlights five newly discovered restaurants across London. Each brings a different kitchen vision, whether it’s an ex-Teal chef steering a community spot in Kew, or the first-ever Jaguar-branded cafe conceived with a Michelin-starred chef. Here are the latest names drawing notice.
Trindle Stores
Chef Abbie Hendren, last seen at Teal, now leads both kitchen and restaurant at Trindle Stores in Kew. Her menu draws on modern British and Mediterranean inspiration, as well as childhood memories from Australia. Breakfast is available on a walk-in basis, and lunch—served Thursday to Sunday—can be booked or approached spontaneously. The venue also operates as a shop with local produce, pantry staples, plants, and gifts, and uses a tipi at the back for its café space. Occasional community events highlight local talent. Trindle Stores has only been in the village since 2024 but leans into local ties and multi-purpose use. [s1, s2]

Bunso
Bunso is the latest from Omar Shah and the Maginhawa Group, doubling as a bakery-cafe by day and a pizzeria by night. Everything here is influenced by Filipino flavours. Operating at 1A Hawley Rd in Kentish Town, it follows on the heels of Shah’s highly-regarded Belly, with the new project continuing to explore creative, cross-cultural baking and pizza. [s1, s4]

On Knightsbridge, Jaguar Café Eighty-One marks the luxury car brand’s venture into hospitality, with its first café situated in the newly opened Jaguar showroom. The kitchen’s menu is shaped by Michelin-starred chef Michael O Hare, adding a recognised culinary touch to the space. This unique pairing of car showroom and destination cafe is a first for Jaguar.
