MAAI, on Abbeville Road, is the first restaurant from chef Nikita Pathakji, whose cooking reimagines British food through the lens of London’s diverse cultures. This is a family-led project, named after Pathakji’s mother, reflecting a deep-rooted passion for hospitality and a tradition of shared meals at home.

The concept is highly personal, aiming for a sense of belonging and relaxed conviviality, shaped by both Pathakji’s upbringing and the city’s vibrant multiculturalism.
